French blue and gold Sevres amphora. 19th century.

Wonderful amphora with a cobalt blue background and gold details. The central segment features a ceramic enameled portrait of a flirtatious couple strolling, and another segment features floral decoration. The lid, handles, mounts, and base are chiseled bronze. The handles feature two figures of a male face. Signed "Sevres."
